Two things decide which replacement fits: whether yours is a plain manual-dip mirror or an auto-dimming one, and whether the car has a rain sensor or camera pod sharing the same mount — both are trim-level items on Hyundais rather than model ones, so an Elite or Executive car and a base car of the same year take different mirrors. If the button itself has come off the glass, that is a windscreen job, not a mirror job.

Which engine is in my H1?
SA-market cars were sold with 2.4 petrol on selected Grand Starex derivatives, D4CB 2.5 CRDi and 2.5 TD on the earlier Starex. The code stamped on the block settles it — the badge on the boot does not.
What do you need from me to quote rearview mirror?
The trim level, the interior colour, and whether the car has leather or cloth. Trim level drives almost everything inside a Hyundai — seat fabric, console mouldings and switchgear all differ between base and Elite or Executive derivatives of the same car.
In South Africa the H1 is mostly shuttle, tour and staff-transport work, which means very high annual mileage and a strong bias towards diesel injection, turbo and clutch components. That is the wear pattern we stock and source against.

What does a used Hyundai interior mirror cost?

My mirror fell off the windscreen. Is that the mirror or the glass?
Almost always the bond, not the mirror — and after a summer parked outdoors it is the most predictable failure on the car. Clean the old adhesive off the windscreen button, let it dry, then bond with a mirror glue kit such as Loctite 319. Leave it 24 hours before you pivot it. If the button itself has come off the glass, that is a windscreen job.
How does the mirror clip back onto the mount?
Hyundai mirrors use a hex-bolt mount. Line the base up with the windscreen button, rotate 90 degrees until it clicks, then nip up the small grub screw. It is a two-minute job provided the button is still bonded to the glass.
Can just the mirror glass be replaced?
Not on the interior mirror — the glass is bonded and not serviced separately, so a complete used assembly works out cheaper than specialist re-silvering. Exterior wing-mirror glass is different: that is a clip-in part and does replace on its own.
